Only 71 days until the jolly red giant boards his sleigh with his favourite furry friends (but who’s counting?). The holidays are a time of family, fun and let’s all be honest - who doesn’t love getting presents? (especially the really unique, one-of-a-kind ones). Speaking of uniqueness, Niagara is filled with fabulous craft shows (or markets as we like to call them here in Niagara). Here are our top picks of can’t miss Markets: Hernder Estate Wines 20th Annual Craft Show - November 7, 8 and 9th from 10am-5pm Featuring 2 floors of artisans, wine tasting, and light fare. Stain glass, sewing, knit sweaters, purses, floral, Christmas, painted glassware, jewelry, soy candles and much more. In lieu of admission, help a local family with non perishable food items or a donation to Community Care Handmade Market - November 14th - 16th - 11am - 4pm daily (Honsberger Estates) Over 75 vendors, gourmet food trucks (need we say more) Ridley Christmas Market - November 14th - 2-7pm - Ridley College Fieldhouse - 2 Ridley Road, St. Catharines Over 60 vendors, musical entertainment, raffles, prize draws, a children’s craft corner, baked goodness and a special visit from Santa. Christmas by the Falls - December 6th (10 - 6pm) and 7th (10 - 5pm) - Scotiabank Convention Centre Over 100 vendors and demonstrations just in time for the holidays. So come one, come all and visit them all. There are different vendors at each event filled with holiday treasures for the naughty and nice on your list. After you’ve shopped til you could almost drop, come and rest your head and feet at the Courtyard by Marriott - one of the top 4-star Niagara Falls Hotels (and one of Santa’s favourite places to stay).
