September Events in Niagara Falls and Beyond

Summer is almost over, but the fun doesn’t have to end. Niagara’s closet is full of refreshing events happening all September long. The hardest part will be choosing your favourite. Our suggestion…try them all. Showcasing the masterpieces of over 100 local artists, a children’s art show, a poet/painter exchange, some of Niagara’s favourite musicians, the perpetual peace project and a soiree evening – all taking place in one of the most spiritual places in Niagara Falls, the Monastery of Mount Carmel. www.carmelfineart.ca Onguiaahra: Thunder of Waters – Sound and Light Show – until September 1st The name “Niagara” is said to originate from an Iroquis word “Onguiaahra” meaning “The Strait.” This is a spectacular performance of music and entertainment culminating in a sound and laser show that showcases the fascinating story of Niagara. Niagara is so happy to be celebrating it’s 63rd Annual New Vintage Festival. It’s Canada’s largest annual celebration of Ontario’s award-winning wineries and vineyards. Featuring over 30 wineries paired with local, fresh culinary delights. Plus the Pied Piper Parade and the 63rd Annual Meridian Grande Parade and dozens of festival events. Plus experience 13th Street’s fine wine, food trucks and culinary creations. www.handmademarket.ca Welland Niagara Food Festival – September 5th – 7th Mark this event in your calendar. The Niagara Food Festival offers fantastic food from local restaurants and food producers, celebrity chefs with live demonstrations on the Mobile Culinary Theatre, live entertainment for all ages and much, much more.
