Niagara Falls Events in August

Can you believe that August is almost here? It must mean that we are all enjoying our summers that much and time is just zooming by. Niagara is definitely a place of wonder with so many exciting and delicious events coming up in the month of August. There are too many events to include, as we could literally fill your calendars every single day. So we’ve only chosen our favourites (which was difficult to do): Macy Gray - Fallsview Casino - August 1st and 2nd Grammy Award winning Macy Gray takes the stage singing some of her greatest hits, including: “I Try,” “Sweet Baby,” “Do Something,” and “Real Love.” Canal Days - Port Colborne - August 2nd - 5th The Canal Days Marine Heritage Festival happens every Civic Holiday weekend. Featuring delicious food, artisans, musical talent (April Wine) and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Chocolate & Chicks - Peller Estates Winery - Monday - Friday at 2pm and Weekends 2pm & 4pm - August If you love chocolate and wine, you’ll love this perfectly paired event at Peller Estates Winery. Here you’ll learn how chocolate and wine complement each other and can awaken your palate. Art of Wine and Food - Peller Estates Winery - Monday - Friday at 3pm and Weekends 1pm and 3pm - August This interactive experience will broaden your food and wine pairing horizons and wow your taste buds. Winery Chef and Cityline Personality, Jason Parsons brings together three Peller wines with three delicious food items from his recipe book. Food Truck Summer Eats- Pillitteri Estates Winery - Every Friday, Sunday and one Saturday in August Stop by Pillitteri every Friday, Sunday and one Saturday in the summer for some delicious Food Truck eating. Featuring The Yellow Pear, The Canuck Pizza Truck and Southern Smoke. Trius Blues at the Winery - Trius Winery at Hillebrand - August 10th Featuring Premier Canadian jazz musicians paired with fine Niagara wine and gourmet cuisine. Ripe and Juicy Wildass Market - Stratus - August 11th - 12 - 5pm Experience everything “ripe and juicy” and at its peak of perfection. Wildass wines, food vendors, gourmet food trucks, live music, artisans, live music and so much more. Wednesday Supper Market - Garrison Village Niagara-on-the-Lake - every Wed. until Sept. 18th - 5 - 9pm Hump day just got more delicious. Enjoy fantastic food truck eats, local cuisine, artisans, live music and so much more in Garrison Village. At the Corner of Niagara Stone Road (Hwy 55) & Niven Road (beside CIBC and Shoppers Drug Mart) The Antique Market - Garrison Village Niagara-on-the-Lake - August 3rd and September 14th - 8 am - 1pm It’s the first of its kind this year. Pick up some hidden treasures while getting in a little grocery shopping (of the healthy kind). Garrison Village. At the Corner of Niagara Stone Road (Hwy 55) & Niven Road (beside CIBC and Shoppers Drug Mart) Summer Concert Series - Jackson-Triggs Winery - until September 6th Award-winning wines, gourmet food, and brilliant Canadian talent come together to celebrate summer in Jackson-Triggs’ open air amphitheatre. Safari Niagara Summer Concerts 2013 - until August 24th This concert series is located in a unique setting on the grounds of Safari Niagara, which is home to over 750 animals, reptiles, mammals and feathered friends. Don’t miss performances from The Sheep Dogs, 54-40 (August 9th) and Great Big Sea (August 24th).
