Raise a Glass to the 61st Annual Niagara Wine Festival

As a local resident of Niagara, this time of year always brings a smile to my face. It’s a time of celebration. A celebration of being blessed with so many fine Niagara wineries, and gourmet restaurant establishments. Raise a glass to the rich, fertile soil and cool-climate of the Niagara Peninsula and of course to those hard-working vintners and restaurant owners with one clear vision: to make people happy with grape expectations and delicious food. The 61st Annual Niagara Wine Festival is an annual event that cannot, I repeat cannot be missed. Why? Because it is Canada’s largest annual celebration of Ontario’s award-winning wineries and vineyards. The location could not be more perfect. Montebello Park is the ideal setting to celebrate all of Niagara’s natural gifts. This year is full of non-stop entertainment for two weekends. Starting on Friday, September 21st, don’t miss the Niagara Wine Festival Entertainment Lineup. Platinum Blonde, 2010 Canadian Music and Broadcast Hall of Famers will be performing from 9 - 10:30pm and Canadian phenomenon, Walk Off the Earth will be closing this spectacular event on Sunday, September 30th. Don’t miss the CIBC Grande Parade on Saturday, September 29th. This is a tradition that many families look forward to year after year. From the marching bands, drum corps, community groups, majorettes, floats and amazing performances, the Grande Parade is the perfect way to start your Saturday. With over 30 Niagara wineries to choose from, the hardest part will be deciding which one. Of all the Ontario wineries, Niagara has some of the finest.
