The Niagara Falls Carmel Fine Art and Music Festival

Calling all art and music lovers. The Carmel Fine Art and Music Festival is the place to be from September 7th - 9th. This three day festival kicks of with an Artist’s Soiree, where guests get to mingle with the artists while enjoying fine wine & musical entertainment. An awards presentation will be held revealing the 2012 winners. Soiree guests will also be treated to the official unveiling of an astounding 407 piece collection of art, which is one of the largest private collections in Canada. The festival continues on Saturday and Sunday, with a 6900 square foot Indoor Exhibition Hall and a half acre of Outdoor Exhibition Space featuring fine art in a variety of mediums. Musicians will be playing on two outdoor stages while guests and artists enjoy a VQA Wine and Culinary Patio Garden, a Community Art Project, where guests are encouraged to add their mark to a large mural-like canvas, a children’s “Creative Imaginarium” art zone, and an Artistic Challenge created to inspire artists to connect in a new way. There will also be the global launch of the Perpetual Peace Project - a harmony of art and music designed to produce a healing and positive energy. Artists create works to the musicians playing, letting the music influence the painting whether it be though its melody, rhythm or the words themselves, making a unique way to experience a creative connection. This will be streamed live online across the globe with the public being able to upload their own musical or artistic contribution to the project. Partial proceeds from this festival support, The Mount Carmel Foundation for the Arts and Education, which provides annual art scholarships to local highschools. In addition, it will also be the main fundraiser for future art classes and workshops at the Carmel Art Centre. The Courtyard by Marriott’s two night package is our best value package and the perfect way to enjoy the festival all weekend long.
