Once again, the Marriott Fallsview Golf Classic tournament, hosted by Cosmo Menechella, was an overwhelming success. The sold out event, held on June 6th, 2010 raised over $70,000 which will be donated to the Equipment Campaign at the Greater Niagara General Hospital. Thank you to the staff of Marriott Niagara Falls Fallsview Hotel & Spa, the Niagara 21st Group Inc. staff, Cosmo Menechella and all the players and sponsors who supported this fantastic tournament. Through the generosity of these community-minded people, the GNGH Foundation continues to fulfill its healthcare commitments to the community.
Niagara Falls Big Brothers Big Sisters, a very capable progressive children’s charity, is the very happy recipient of a generous donation from the Niagara 21st Group Inc. The money was raised through a fun Winter Social by employees of the Marriott Niagara Falls Fallsview Hotel & Spa, Terrapin Grille Fallsview Restaurant, and Serenity Spa by the Falls, Courtyard by Marriott Niagara Falls, The Keg Steakhouse & Bar, TGI Fridays, Starbucks, CV Security and matched by Niagara 21st Group Inc. for a total donation of $4,800.
Since 2011, the Niagara 21st Group Inc. has been spreading holiday cheer gathering toys, clothing and food for a number of Niagara families during their annual “Santa Day.” All donations were raised through the sale of various hotel furnishings while the hotel was under construction. It’s one small way to bring joy to many Niagara families during the holiday season.
