JOB BUS ROLLING IN PORT THIS YEAR - Welland Tribune
Opportunities Niagara, in partnership with NTAB, Niagara Region Community Services, Port Cares and the Niagara 21st Group, are hoping to fill 20 seats on the Job Bus in 2007. How would you like to work as a room attendant and have a guaranteed ride to work each day? The Job Bus offers daily transportation to either the Marriott Fallsview of the Marriott Courtyard hotel properties for work. The Job Bus will make stops in Port Colborne and Welland before traveling to Niagara Falls to the doorstep of the Hotels. Workers will work day shifts only and will earn $10.04 per hour plus gratuities. The position also includes an attractive benefits package after 90 days of work and plenty of positive workplace incentives like staff barbecues, socials and celebrations. This, the third year of the Job Bus, will commence earlier than the past two years with a potential mid-April start date and the season generally runs through to November. Many of the staff who are able to work off-season hours are invited to do so, particularly at peak times and throughout the holiday season.
