Niagara Falls Christmas Events 2015
It’s almost the most wonderful time of the year. Niagara Falls is the place to be this Christmas Season.
Here is what is happening in Niagara this Holiday Season:
Over 3 Million lights over a 5km route – how spectacular is that? Don’t miss the 32nd annual Winter Festival of Lights happening just minutes away from our hotel. The magic happens every evening until January 31st. This is one holiday event, you won’t want to miss.
Laser Light Shows
NEW to the Winter Festival of Lights this year are the laser light shows. One is happening right in our neighbourhood at the top of Clifton Hill. From December 19th – 30th, each evening there will be two lights shows, one at 6pm and the other at 9pm. There’s also a fun interactive laser booth where the whole family can write messages or draw pictures with laser light. Plus this Saturday, December 19th visit Santa Claus himself from 5 – 6pm or 7 – 8pm. The next event is happening from January 14th – 24th in the Fallsview District.
During the Winter Festival of Lights enjoy Fireworks over the Falls every Friday night at dusk. Plus during the holiday season, December 21st – 26th, celebrate the holidays with fireworks every evening.
Hoot for the Holidays – Butterfly Conservatory – until January 2nd (each Saturday)
You’ll give the gift of nature this holiday season when you visit the Butterfly Conservatory’s special exhibit, Hoot for the Holidays. Featuring a variety of owls and other birds of prey along with its own stunning Owl Butterflies. The exhibit will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., each Saturday until January 2. Join local conservationists David and Kim Gibson as they introduce these beautiful Sky-Hunters or birds of prey and educate us all about their habits, unique abilities and the importance of habitat conservation. Visitors will then have an opportunity to experience and learn more about the Owl Butterflies that call the Conservatory their home and learn how they got their special name.
The Floral Showhouse Holiday Display is a beautiful and exotic annual floral favourite for 65 years! It’s a great way to celebrate the beauty of the holiday season.
Don’t miss the Niagara Falls New Years Eve 2015 concert in Queen Victoria Park starting at 8pm. This year’s line up includes: Tom Cochrane & Red Rider, Dennis DeYoung and the Music of Styx, Down with Webster and Alan Doyle & The Beautiful Gypsies.
Raise a glass to the holidays and celebrate at one of the 70 Niagara Wineries throughout Niagara Wine Country. Choose your favourites in Niagara-on-the-Lake or Twenty Valley. Plus hop on over to one of the Microbreweries – Niagara Oast or Silversmith.
